Gary Moore’s Fender Dual Showman

1975 Fender Dual Showman

This Fender Dual Showman has some serious history. According to Gary Moore’s guitar tech, Gary owned two of these and they were both used on various recording sessions for ‘Still Got The Blues’ and ‘After Hours’ albums. They can also heard on the 2001 album, ‘Back To The Blues’ and the 2021 posthumous album ‘How Blue Can You Get’, on the tracks ‘Living With The Blues’ and ‘Done Somebody Wrong’. In addition to all the recording sessions, you can see this amp on stage behind Gary throughout the years, particularly from 1999 to 2001. Below is a photo from a 2001 issue of Japan’s Young Guitar magazine where you can see this specific amp featured on a run down of Gary’s live rig.
